NOTE: Please bring an iPad tablet, android tablet or chromebook to this session. Scratch Jr. does is currently an app and does NOT work with laptops.
Are you curious about integrating coding into your lower elementary classroom? Scratch, one of the world’s most popular drag-and-drop coding languages, has a little cousin - Scratch Jr. Perfect for students in grades K through 2, Scratch Jr. allows young children to tell stories and create simple games through coding. In this hour-long introductory course, we’ll start at the beginning by examining existing resources and crafting simple programs. By the end, you will have the skills to effectively bring coding back to your kids!
